GUIDEBOOK TIPS:   Lots of fancy dress to try on and there are interactive exhibitions for little ones. One of the best bits for little ones is the downstair exhibition where there is a wall of cupboards that they can open and explore. There are glass floors with exhibits underneath to catch their eyes and a garden with people projected all around talking, walking and playing. To find this you need to turn right at the entrance and rather than heading to the fire of London exhibit go straight ahead.

There are cafes with wooden high chairs and places to eat pack lunch. Before the cafe there is an old cafe, cinema area and a toy train set up.

Every Saturday, Sunday and school holidays there are free family events. Click here for more information.

There are also free under 5’s activity bags for a “hands-on” visit. These are suitable for 2 – 11 yrs olds. Just ask at the information desk.
