GUIDEBOOK TIPS:   The Ahoy! Gallery is amazing for little ones. So much to see, do and play with. There are lots of buggy parks at different points in the museum so that buggies don’t get in the way.

The big map seemed to provide lots of entertainment for my toddlers who loved walking across it. There is a boat that they can be dragged along on. The museum has tablets for older children to use with the big map to make it even more interesting.

On Tuesday, at regular times throughout the day, there are play activities for little ones for cost of £3 per child.

The museum website says it has parking but this is only available on weekends and bank holidays. I would park in the car park on Park Row which is £2.50 per hour.

At the weekends you can park the car next to the foot tunnel entrance on the Isle of dogs. It’s free at the weekend and it’s a short and fun ten minute walk through the tunnel into the centre of Greenwich.
