I’m a mum to a 17 month old and 6 year old and run my own business teaching baby and toddler yoga classes (Mitchy Titch Yoga Fun and Fitness Edinburgh)

My blog is varied! It’s about wellness and finding a balance as a mum. There’s articles on there about yoga, relaxation, food, Mum & Family life (kids, makeup, fashion) and a bit about my journey setting up and running a small business. I also have guest blogs on various topics!

My instagram feed is all of the above in pictures!

Favourite places to eat: You can’t beat Pizza Express when you’ve got kids. You know what you are getting and you know they are going to eat it!

We love Dishoom on St Andrews Square on the rare occasion we are going out without the kids!!

I’ve also heard good things about Finn & Bear in Leith so am excited to try it!

Favourite places to go : Museum of Scotland on Chambers street. It’s free full of things to keep the kids entertained and a great option on a Sunday (free parking in Edinburgh!).

Craigies Farm, Deli and Cafe, Queensferry, Edinburgh
We love it here – whether it be for a cuppa, breakfast or lunch. The outdoor enclosed play area means that it’s fab for slightly older kids and there’s a small indoor play but for toddlers with books/small toys.
The coffee is great, the food good (the menu isn’t that big) in my opinion the breakfast is the best! There’s a very small outdoor farm that you can look around. It’s a brilliant place to come in fruit picking season – there’s such a variety of fruit to pick.

A walk around the Botanic gardens (Stockbridge) followed by ice cream from the ice cream van across from the main gate is always a favourite when we are looking to get outside.

We also love TurtleDove play cafe in Davidson’s Mains – it’s great for babies( there is a separate ‘crawlers’ room) to pre-schoolers. With lots to keep them amused, a good food menu for kids and adults and great coffee! It’s definitely worth a visit.

Lauriston Castle is also a nice place to go for a walk. There is a cafe that is open in the summer so you can refuel!

Favourite places to shop for your little ones: I tend to stick to high street when it comes to kids clothes: Zara, H&M, M&S.
I’m more of a online shopper so also like Boden for kids.
There’s some lovely independent boutiques in Stockbridge (Willow and Bon Tot) which stock great independent lines such as Sadie Baby.
I also love Blade & Rose for my little one as the leggings are fab!

Favorite classes or groups: My little one loves the Gaelic book bugs that is on fortnightly on a Thursday at Blackhall library!
(GUIDEBOOK BABY thinks that Konica’s own baby and toddler classes also look fab.)

Any other local tips?: Look outside of Edinburgh for things to do with your little ones.
Conifox nurseries has a great outdoor play area, Cramond foreshore is a great place to go if the kids want to scoot or cycle as it’s flat!
If you’re willing to go further afield then Muddy Boots in Fife is great if you’ve got slightly older kids + baby!
